We decided to address the violent history of Colombia’s internal conflict with a punctual intervention that would make users reflect upon peace. We took inspiration from the act of peaceful protest using flowers to create a community-built enclosure of flowers. As the project would be assembled by 6 victims of the internal conflict, we used readymade metal racks and lightweight textiles as the main construction materials, which were later donated to the local community. The process rendered a space where the victims and actors of the conflict felt comfortable to share their experiences with violence and reflected upon the values of peace.
